Barefoot Alley Books was born out of the inspiration of growing up in the small town of Harleyville, SC. I mean small…no traffic lights and less than 1000 people. The street I grew up on was John Street, but it was appropriately nicknamed, “Barefoot Alley.” There were dozens of children growing up on John Street and in the South, children only wore shoes for church during the the summer. This wonderful place is the inspiration for many stories and the brand for the books I write.
